Well, today is my sweet baby girl's 11th birthday! So I thought I would reminisce about the story of her birth. I was the ripe-old age of 20 when I was two weeks over due! I was so ready to NOT be pregnant anymore!
Zak and my brother, Nathan, were playing video games on a console they had rented from Blockbuster. I was downstairs at my parents house in Lowell, Arkansas and all of the sudden water was everywhere. At this point, all I knew to say was "Either I just wet myself, or my water just broke!"

Zak was in the bathroom and my brother went and knocked on the door... "Zak, hey man - Bethany's water just broke" Zak, "WHAT?? I'm taking that back! I can't believe the controller (for the video game) broke!" Nathan, "NOOOO Bethany's WATER broke, you're about to be a dad!" (HAHA)
Off to the hospital we went! Excited, nervous, scared - a flooding of emotions - knowing that this time the very next day, we would finally have a little baby girl!

I wasn't contracting in a way to help my labor, so they began the pitosin induction. I finally dilated to a 6 so they thought it would be good to stop the pitosin to see if I could handle the rest on my own. After an hour or so with no change, my doctor came in and started the pitosin again and left, thinking she had some time. Well...she was WRONG! She had just walked out of the front doors of the hospital and I was ready to start pushing!
Zak was right by me the whole time, even though he was as white as a ghost when all was said and done! The nurses thought he might need a chair because he looked like he was going to pass out! At 9:47 am on December 10, 1999 I had a 7 pound 10 ounce 19" long perfect little daughter! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADDISON!!!
