If You Can't Say Something Nice.....

A subject has been weighing on my heart all day today, so I thought I'd 'blog' about it. It's the subject - as my mother always said, "If you can't say something nice, then don't say anything at all". Well, I really want to be the kind of person who people say "She never has a negative thing to say about anybody!". I have a huge desire in my heart to look for the positive qualities in everyone. Everyone has flaws. And it's so easy for my personality to 'clash' with someone else's, but it doesn't make it ok for me to call people out on said flaws.

I have a friend who sets such a positive example!! I look up to her, honestly I do! She NEVER has a bad word to say about anyone. You could run over her dog, burn down her house, whatever it is, even if it's done deliberately to hurt her, she would STILL find something nice to say about you. "She's so pretty, so smart, she seems like the best mother....." She is everyone's biggest fan! & It seems to come so easily.

But it all boils down to a choice. I don't have to be someone's best friend, by any means...but I can find positive traits or qualities about everyone. Who am I to judge how they handle life? what they do to me,? what they do to others??? They still have good qualities right? So I am making it my goal to focus on the good qualities of others, rather than the things that drive me crazy! (haha) And I don't want a bad word about someone else to ever come out of my mouth!! I hope someone will say that about me; "She never has a negative thing to say about anybody"!!

And I am so thankful that God placed this sweet precious friend of mine in my life to use as a constant example to me!!
