Va•ca•tion....a period of suspension of work, study, or other activity, usually used for rest, recreation, or travel.
More likely than not, I usually dread vacation because it always seems like you come home more exhausted then when you left! But I am so grateful that this vacation experience was NOT that way! It was absolutely wonderful. I hadn't ever been to San Antonio - so it was all new.
Day One: Sea World. I've never been to Sea World...so that was an amazing time for me! I was like a little kid! I think I enjoyed it more than the kids....though that might seem impossible!
We fed the dolphins...
We saw several shows, including believe - with Shamu, which was absolutely amazing!!! Here's a little video clip!
One GREAT show was 'Azul'. It's a combination of 'cirque-de-soleil' and water animals. I think I sat through the whole show with my jaw dropped!!! I was AMAZED!!!
We also watched Sea Lions Tonight - which was my absolute FAVORITE SHOW!! It was later in the evening, so we had already watched all the other shows and this one makes fun of all the other shows! It was hilarious! Those animals are AMAZING! I cannot believe how they can be trained to do what they do! Such an entertaining experience!
Here's a picture of the 'set' of Sea Lions Tonight...

We went and fed the sea lions next!! They had the cutest little baby sea lion!! It was tiny!
All in all, Sea World was a HUGE success!!! And to top off the neat shows, they have rides too!! Water rides, amusement park rides....they have everything! I can't wait to go back!
Day Two: Six Flags - don't have a lot to show for that day because we spent so much time just riding rides and not taking pictures! It was so much fun! My family LOVES Six Flags though, so we can't ever go wrong spending time there!
We really enjoyed the River Walk! We went pretty much every night! We also took the River Cruise Tour on Sunday, and there is so much amazing history to San Antonio! It was such a great little thing to do - I highly recommend it to anyone who goes!
Evenings by the pool at the Fabulous Omni Hotel were another highlight! The kids loved to swim and met many new friends! On Saturday evening they even put up a big screen and projected Shrek the Third out by the pool! The evenings were usually pretty humid, but there was always a wonderful breeze that made it enjoyable just to sit and watch the kids having fun!
We spent one evening at the theater and watched 'Despicable Me'...which is probably one of my new favorite movies EVER! I LOVED LOVED LOVED it!! Another high recommendation from me! Completely worth the money to see it in 3D at the theater!
I didn't want to leave!! I don't think any of us did! But I have absolutely no complaints! I couldn't have asked for a greater time!
